Independant driving will be introduced into the practical driving test in October.

The lease has been renewed on the Clacton test centre therefore practical driving tests will be carried out in Clacton for the foreseeable future.

The future of the Clacton On Sea test centre has for a long time been doubtful but, as the lease has been renewed to August 2010 we can be reasonably sure it will remain open till then. After this time, if an alternative site is not found a move to Colchester may be actioned by the DSA.

Rest assured many people are working towards obtaining a suitable site for the relocation of the Clacton On Sea test centre and all have a positive outlook regarding this issue.
